Details
The belt is woven on a narrow loom from cotton yarn in a balanced plain weave, mixing sand and terracotta threads into a soft, body-conscious band that gives slightly under tension rather than holding rigid. We pull the warp tight and even on every piece, so the weave stays flat and does not roll or twist around the waist, and the color pattern lines up cleanly from end to end. Cotton yarn keeps the belt lightweight and breathable for year-round wear, and it softens a little with each wash.
The buckle is solid brass with a simple rectangular frame, stitched onto the belt end with a folded leather tip that protects the woven edge from fraying where it passes through the buckle. A row of punched holes along the tail lets you adjust the fit, and a leather keeper loop holds the loose end neatly. We designed this belt as a finishing layer for natural-fiber wardrobes — it adds structure to a flowing dress or a long cardigan without the stiffness of a leather belt.
