The cords are knotted securely around the dowel and brushed out into soft, loose tassels that move gently with room air, and the color bundles are spaced evenly so the warm terracotta breaks up the cream in a calm, rhythmic pattern rather than clumping. We use soft spun cotton that keeps its fluff without shedding heavily, and the fringe is cut by hand to a gentle stepped profile.
Above the fringe, a few simple macramé knots gather the cords into a narrow band across the dowel, leaving the upper portion open so the piece does not feel heavy on the wall. A knotted loop at each end of the dowel slips over a nail or wall hook for easy hanging, and the wood is left natural with a light sanded finish.
