Details
The strap is plaited from three narrow leather strips into a tight, flat braid that flexes with the wrist instead of riding stiffly. We use full-grain leather that has been tanned to a warm tan and conditioned by hand, so it starts supple and grows a deeper, lived-in sheen the more it is worn. The plait tension is set carefully on each piece, keeping the strands tight and even without pinching, and the two sides of the braid match in pattern from end to end.
A polished brass buckle closes the strap, with punched adjustment holes spaced along the tail and a small keeper loop to hold the loose end in place. The buckle is solid brass rather than plated alloy, so it ages alongside the leather instead of flaking off. We designed this strap for anyone who carries keys, a camera, or a small pouch on the wrist — a low-fuss band that looks at home on a market run, a photo walk, or an evening out.
