A handcrafted miniature dresser with a tilting mirror, built at 1:12 dollhouse scale from solid walnut. It is small enough to sit on a shelf, yet detailed enough to anchor a whole room in miniature — cut, assembled, and finished one piece at a time in our workshop.
Details
The case is built from solid walnut with a gently rounded top and a full-length mirror that tilts on a brass pivot, just like the full-size dressers of the 1940s it is modeled after. Two drawers sit below, each with hand-fitted wooden runners and tiny cast-brass knobs. The drawer fronts are book-matched, so the grain flows across the pair as one continuous surface.
Every surface is finished by hand with several thin coats of linseed oil, giving the piece a low-luster warmth that photographs beautifully and looks even better in person. The mirror is real glass with a softly beveled edge, set into a hand-mitered frame.
